Make the Unreal Real
eLearning + Immersive Experiences
Learning doesn't have to be limited by physical reality. These projects use 3D environments, animation, and interaction to create learning experiences that feel real.
3D Immersive Training Environment
Client: Baltimore-based energy provider serving millions of customers
Software: Maya, Adobe Substance 3D Modeler
Contribution: Graphic concept mapping, graphic texturizing, lighting, modeling
Problem:
Transform the complexity of electric generation and transmission systems into an interactive learning experience.

Solution:
An immersive 3D learning environment where learners could explore the electrical grid from a system-wide perspective, then zoom into substations and equipment to examine components in detail.
Select learning principles included:
-
Constructivist Learning: Enabled learners to learn through exploration and discovery rather than passive content consumption.
-
Scaffolded Learning: Guided learners from high-level system concepts to detailed equipment knowledge, creating a clear progression from foundational understanding to practical application.
-
Experiential Learning: Provided a safe environment to explore equipment before entering the field.
Results:
Created models that were ready for integration into a learning platform, simulation, VR experience, or interactive module.

Multiscreen Audience Learning Journey
Client:
Fortune 50 media conglomerate
Software:
Adobe CS, Articulate
Contribution:
End-to-end course development, visual identity and design, cross-functional stakeholder management
Problem:
Sales teams struggled to explain key digital advertising concepts to clients
Solution:
I designed a series of interactive eLearning experiences that transformed digital advertising concepts into hyper-realistic learning experiences inspired by familiar pop culture environments and scenarios. The curriculum covered everything from streaming and video delivery models to audience targeting, data, inventory sourcing, and the client's unique value proposition.
Select learning principles applied:
-
Experiential Learning: Enabled learners to discover concepts through exploration and interaction rather than passive content consumption.
-
Contextual Learning/ Metaphors: Embedded instruction within realistic scenarios, helping learners connect abstract concepts, such as audience targeting and data strategy to real-world customer conversations.
-
Humor: Used playful storytelling and pop culture-inspired environments to increase engagement + motivation, reduce anxiety, and make content memorable.
Results:
The learning journey improved average learning performance by 16.7%. Proficiency increased across all focus areas, with Value Prop showing the strongest gain at +22%.
